A CQC mock inspection by someone who has run the services being inspected.

Most compliance audits are checklists run by people who have never managed a rota, held a safeguarding call or sat a real inspection. Ours is a full CQC mock inspection, evidence, walk-through and staff interviews, run by an operator who has been on your side of the table, for £1,250 fixed.

You'll find out what CQC thinks, the question is when.

Every provider gets inspected. The only choice is whether the first hard look at your service comes from us or from the regulator.

  1. 01

You can't mark your own homework

When you run the service every day, you stop seeing it the way an inspector will. Blind spots aren't a competence problem, they're a proximity problem, and every operator has them.

  2. 02

    Ratings stick

A Requires Improvement rating sits on public record for years, quietly costing you placements, referrals and job applicants, long after the underlying issues are fixed.

  3. 03

    Tick-box audits miss the point

Generic checklists test whether documents exist, not whether they'd survive questioning. Inspections are conversations with your staff, and that's exactly what never gets rehearsed.

A real rehearsal, not a paperwork review.

The mock inspection is run the way CQC would run the real thing, so the real thing holds no surprises.

  1. 01

    Full mock inspection

Your service assessed against CQC's framework, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, approached the way an inspection team would approach it.

  2. 02

    Evidence deep-dive

Care plans, medication records, training matrices, supervision notes, safeguarding logs and audits, reviewed as inspection evidence, not filing.

  3. 03

    Staff & manager interview practice

The questions inspectors put to carers, seniors and the registered manager, rehearsed in advance, with feedback on the answers.

  4. 04

    Risk-prioritised action plan

A written report that ranks every finding by regulatory risk, so you fix what could genuinely hurt your rating first.

  5. 05

    Policy & governance gap review

Where your policies, audits and governance don't match your day-to-day practice, the gap inspectors are trained to find.

  6. 06

    Follow-up review

A check-in to walk the action plan with you once you've had time to work it, with fixes built by us only if you want them.

Booked, inspected, reported, then fixed.

One fixed fee, one clear sequence, no retainer required.

  1. 01

    Scope

Service type, last report, current worries. If you have an inspection window in mind, we plan backwards from it.

  2. 02

    Inspect

The mock inspection itself: evidence review, service walk-through and staff interviews, run the way CQC would run them.

  3. 03

    Report

A written, risk-prioritised action plan in plain English, findings, evidence gaps and exactly what to fix first.

  4. 04

    Fix & re-check

Work the plan, yourselves or with us, then a follow-up review to confirm the gaps have actually closed.

£1,250

fixed fee

One audit, one price, no obligation.

£1,250 covers the full mock inspection, evidence review, written report and follow-up review. The honest small print:

  • 01If the action plan surfaces work you'd like built, policies rewritten, digital records, staff training, that's scoped and priced separately. There's no obligation and no pressure.
  • 02No retainer required: many providers book a single audit ahead of an expected inspection window.
  • 03We'll tell you if you don't need us. If your service is genuinely inspection-ready, the report will say so.

Find out what CQC would find, before CQC does.

A free 20-minute call about your service, your last report and what's keeping you up at night. If a mock inspection isn't the right move yet, we'll say so.

What providers ask before they begin.

01

How is this different from a standard compliance audit?

Most audits are checklists run by people who have never operated a care service. Ours is run by someone who has managed regulated services and sat real inspections on the provider's side, so it tests what inspectors actually probe: your evidence, your staff's answers, and whether well-led holds up under questioning, not just whether the policy folder is full.

02

When should we book a CQC mock inspection?

Earlier than feels necessary. The value is in the gap between the mock inspection and the real one, that's when the action plan gets worked through. Six to eight weeks of breathing room is a sensible minimum, and the report is prioritised by risk so you fix what matters most first.

03

Can you help us improve a Requires Improvement rating?

Yes. We start from your last report, target the specific quality statements that pulled the rating down, and build the documented improvement record inspectors look for. Nobody can promise a rating, but arriving at your next assessment with a working, evidenced action plan is the strongest position there is.
